ABOUT YOUnite

YOUnite is a Silicon Valley based Enterprise Software start-up company, focused on providing near real-time Federated Data Unification and Data Governance solutions to corporations and systems integrators who are exploring emerging Data Fabric and Graph Technology data ecosystems.

YOUnite’s event-driven, Data Unification platform is a data fabric that enables corporations to access multiple disparate data domains at scale, including cloud, on-premise or third party domain data, with high granularity and governance, which can then be interrogated and managed using 3rd party Graph Technologies and/or Artificial Intelligence.

YOUnite was founded by Mark Fitzpatrick and Tony Siress to address the mushrooming amount of personal data being created and stored in a myriad various networked system and devices. The aim was to allow the consumer to control who should have visibility to their data.

When it became clear that the vast majority of consumers were more concerned about engagement with apps and social platforms than their with their privacy, the company shifted towards giving organizations the tools necessary to properly manage their structured data and to properly steward the “user data” that they collected .

YOUnite could see that if enterprise businesses wanted to gain competitive advantages in the digital era, they had to move away from traditional batch oriented integrations and towards a more unified event-driven, real-time platform to accommodate the growing number and types of data silos.

YOUnite addresses the problems of data privacy, management and control with a patented federated data unification platform that is a highly flexible, highly secure, scalable and cost-effective solution.

YOUnite technology ensures data is available, accurate and consistent across all environments. In addition, the YOUnite technology provides privacy of content through the notion of selective fine-grained sharing. YOUnite technology presents a revolutionary, patented means to securely distribute data as soon as it is updated.

YOUnite’s Data Unification platform allows businesses and organizations to create global, distributed information exchanges. Using YOUnite REST APIs, developers can create applications that will propagate information between multiple devices/clients, users and organizations without requiring data to be stored in a central repository. Users, businesses and organizations can choose where they want their data stored, with whom they want to share it and how much they want to share down to the attribute level.

Mark Fitzpatrick has over 30 years of experience as a founding entrepreneur and technical information systems expert. and is a co-Founder of YOUnite; a patented master data management company.

Previously, he was the co-founder of Tidalwave Technologies (merged with Veritas Software — now Symantec), which developed the #1 high-availability/clustering software for the Solaris (Sun Microsystems) operating system. Mr. Fitzpatrick spent the previous ten years as a senior systems engineer with Sun Microsystems, Data General Corporation and was hired on as Steve Jobs Systems Engineer at NeXT.

Timothy W. Healy

Director and Chief Operations Officer of YOUnite, Inc.

B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley and earned his Juris Doctor (J.D.) from University of San Francisco School of Law.

Mr. Healy is skilled in negotiation, management, leadership, risk management and strategic planning. Before coming to YOUnite, Mr. Healy practiced law before the California and Federal benches. He is admitted and maintains his licenses to practice in California and the United States District Court, Norther District of California.

Mr. Healy was legal counsel, in-house counsel in charge of high value cases, general counsel responsible for contract negotiations with business partners, and as executive vice president/ owner of the well respected insurance managing underwriter firm of Deans & Homer.

Mr. Healy has also served over the years on the boards of several insurance companies.

Rob Salmon

Director of YOUnite, Inc.

BS, Computer Science, California State University-Chico (Distinguished Alumni award by the School of Engineering)

Rob Salmon joined NetApp in 1994 as one of the first members of the storage vendor’s sales organization. He has led global field operations since 2004, and was promoted to the position of president.

Rob Salmon then accepted the president and Chief Operating Officer at Cohesity. Cohesity specializes in the development of secondary storage, specifically for hyper-converged infrastructure deployments. He retired from Cohesity in 2020.
