Federated Data Access and Data Virtualization

Federated data access, or data virtualization, provides a single entry point to the structured data in your enterprise’s entire data tier. The  Data is not centrally stored in YOUnite nor other central repositories, but the data is assembled in real-time as requests are made.

Requests for data can specify preferred source systems, and YOUnite applies the appropriate data tier firewall (governance) rules to all requests.

Applications can leverage YOUnite as a consistent enterprise-wide data event notification platform that can trigger business processes.

Data requests can be made by using YOUnite’s REST API with Lucene search.

YOUnite UI

The YOUnite UI provides a general management interface to the YOUnite data unification platform and a single view of the data across the entire enterprise

With the YOUnite UI, data stewards can:

  • View data in source systems according to data governance rules
  • Make Lucene queries across the entire enterprise data tier
  • View a data record’s lineage
  • If permissions are given, provide global delete capabilities to exercise a customer’s right-to-be-forgotten
  • Compare data between source systems
  • With YOUnite’s Temporal Adaptor, query and compare data by time and source system
